Now when you search for videos and people on Vimeo, you have more options for sorting and filtering your search results. These new options will help you to refine your search and pinpoint exactly what you're looking for.

In addition to these improvements, we've also added the ability to search Channels, which should allow you to find and subscribe to some really great sources of Vimeo's best videos.

We wanted to get this much-requested feature to you as soon as possible, so please note that we are still working on improving the relevancy of the Channels search results.

Tags are a great way to organize your content around themes, places, events or basically anything you can think of. We also believe an even greater power of tags
lies in their ability to pool together content from many different sources in a granular way.

Sure, browsing all Vimeo videos with a certain tag of your interest was useful -- but what if you wanted to narrow the field a bit and drill down into more specific contexts?

We've just made a few changes to tag browsing that we'd like to tell you about.
Click a tag from a video page an enjoy a new expanded tag browsing experience.
Now you can browse videos with a certain tag in your videos, all videos, your contacts' videos and more.

Ever wondered what other Vimeo members like to use the same tags you do? Wonder who tags 'me' most? Well, now while browsing a tag we'll also show you what other users use that tag most.



Along with an improved search field, we hope these changes allow you to find related content and other members with common interests more easily.

I've been working with Sox on moving our Share and Embed modules out of their pop-up homes and into the same page as the video.

The main reason for this change was to alleviate some issues we had with pop-up blockers. Please take a look, and try them for yourself by clicking on the icons in the top right corner of any video on Vimeo.

Alrighty, so this feature has been missing for waaaaay too long, but its finally back thanks to our suave developer Jacob.

We just re-launched the Invite your Friends feature so you can invite everyone you know in the entire world to share in the fun you're having here on Vimeo. Just type in their email address and Vimeo will send them an email inviting them to join you on Vimeo. You can add them as a contact straight from this page, and you can invite as many people as you want.

Find this feature on the Hompage underneath the People Search, or in your navigation bar under 'Tools'.

Every once and a while we launch cool new features that we don't always blog about because they're kinda small and minor. Now we have a little module on the left over there called 'New Features' that will update you guys whenever we push a cool new feature.

I'll be updating this module as needed, so if you're ever interested in whats being added to Vimeo, just check out the Blog!

Thanks to sox and Kevin Sheurs, interacting with other users just got a lot easier! Clicking any "avatar" aka user portrait will bring up a menu of actions you can take regarding that user.

Using this menu will make it faster to add contacts, subscribe to videos, and send messages. Here's a picture of what it looks like:
