The Bishop Henry Whipple (BHW) Federal Building is located south of downtown Minneapolis and St. Paul. It is bordered by highways 55, 5, 62 (Crosstown Expressway), and the Minneapolis/St. Paul International Airport. Officially dedicated in 1969, its tenants include Veterans Affairs,& U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, various agencies with the Department of Defense, and the Department of Homeland Security.
Whipple Federal Building amenities include a cafeteria, small convenience store, vending machines, post office, state-of-the-art child care center, and an ATM.

Building Hours and Access: 7 a.m.– 5 p.m., Monday through Friday (except federal holidays ). All visitors must present a valid government ID – state driver’s license or federal ID – and submit to security screening before they will be allowed to enter the building.
