The Federal Correctional Institution in Milan, Michigan, is seeking to establish a service contract for one Catholic Spiritual Leader and one Substitute Catholic Spiritual Leader to provide instruction for Catholic inmates participating in the Bureau of Prisons, Residential Life Connections Program. HHS Needs Reviewers

The Health and Human Services Department's Administration for Children and Families, Office of Family

Assistance is seeking qualified professionals to serve as reviewers and panel chairpersons for the upcoming Healthy Marriage and Responsible Fatherhood Grant Reviews. Potential reviewers must guarantee in writing that no conflict of interest exists. Serving as an officer, director, trustee, partner, or employee of an applicant organization, or having a close family member in such a position, would be an example of such a conflict. Any past, present, or anticipated financial relationship of the reviewer or a family member to an applicant organization would also be a breach of this principle.

Reviews will be held during the following weeks this summer:

White House Conference - Reminder

White House Targeted Workshop on Faith-Based and Community Initiatives

The White House and the Departments of Justice, Commerce, Agriculture, Labor, Veterans Affairs, Health & Human Services, Housing & Urban Development, Education, and Homeland Security, the Agency for International Development, and the Small Business Administration will host a targeted workshop in Las Vegas to help faith-based and community organizations learn more about President Bush's Faith-Based and Community Initiative. The event is geared towards representatives from social service groups that have a track record of applying for government funding, especially those from groups that have not yet won grants. The targeted workshops will offer grant writing tutorials for certain Federal grant programs that present some of the greatest opportunities for faith-based and community organizations.
