This workshop brings together the expertise and experience of the Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Units (PEHSU) of North America and the Children’s Environmental Health Centers to explore the latest research findings and their practical application in community settings. This workshop is sponsored by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) (Office of Research and Development and Office of Children’s Health Protection and Environmental Education), the Department of Health and Human Services (Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences), and the Association of Occupational and Environmental Clinics in recognition of 10 years of federal effort to protect children’s environmental health as called for in Executive Order 13045, Protection of Children from Environmental Health Risks and Safety Risks. This anniversary provides the children’s environmental health community with an opportunity to reflect on the progress that has been made and to formulate our vision for the future of children’s environmental health.
