USDA Conducts the Farm and Ranch Irrigation Survey
Water is the source of all life and we all need to do our part in preserving this precious resource. With water conservation momentum gaining steam, NASS is asking producers to demostrate their good stewardship of our natural resources and participate in the Farm and Ranch Irrigation Survey. The survey, which was sent out in January 2009, is follow-on to the 2007 Census of Agriculture. NASS Deputy Administrator Carol House discusses the importance of the Irrigation Survey.

The Census of Agriculture is Coming!
As families sit down to enjoy their holiday feasts this year, it’s important to remember the people who make those meals possible – the nation’s farmers and ranchers. NASS thanks these producers for their efforts and urges them to help ensure the future success of their operations – and their industry – by participating in the 2007 Census of Agriculture.
