NRT Special Call for Scripts Due Feb. 13

Life is a soap opera...or it could be. Native American Public Telecommunications (NAPT) is teaming up with Media for Health and the National Society for American Indian Elderly in a Call for Scripts to be considered for production through the Native Radio Theater Project. Our goal is to produce a series of short audio dramas that would be entertaining and educational. The deadline for submissions is February 13, 2009.

NAPT has selected eight standout documentary projects and will award more than $500,000 to filmmakers in its annual open call for proposals.

"Supporting Native American filmmakers is our business and the talent in Native America continues to expand each year," NAPT Executive Director Shirley K. Sneve (Rosebud Sioux) said. "We are proud to be part of the process to provide indigenous perspectives-our stories, our lives-to an educated and insightful audience, a PBS audience."
