Idaho Preferred®

First Lady Lori Otter shops for local products as part of Idaho PreferredĀ® Month press event Idaho Preferred® is a program managed by the Marketing Division of the Idaho State Department of Agriculture to identify and promote the quality, diversity and availability of Idaho food and agriculture products. The program works with local retailers with ideas on promoting Idaho products in their store.

Local restaurants who include Idaho Preferred® products on their menus are promoted via special events and advertising. Idaho Preferred® also provides schools with educational materials, helps source local products for participating cafeterias and offers a fundraising program featuring Idaho Preferred® products.
