Registration is necessary so that users, search engines, and portals can locate your provider. By registering with GBIF you agree that your defined Data-Provider-resources can be queried by applications using the DiGIR (or BioCASe) protocol, within the limitations that you can set up later and modify as needed. Furthermore, you allow GBIF to publicly serve metadata describing your data. By clicking 'Accept' below, you agree with the interim GBIF Data Sharing Agreement [view the agreement].
° Please fill in the following text field with the access point URL of your provider installation, (for example: http://my.server.name/digir/DiGIR.php or http://my.server.name/biocase/databases/dbname/dbwrapper.py).
° Furthermore, you have to define the type of the provider that you want to register: DiGIR BiOCASe (check here which ABCD (version 1.2 or 2.06) elements stored at the GBIF UDDI registry)
° The Node manager of the GBIF Participant in your domain will be informed of your registration, if you choose one. A development or test server may be registered without selecting a Participant, but data originating from such servers will not be indexed and publicly served by GBIF. -- Please select the GBIF Participant in your domain -- AndinoNET Argentina Australia Austria Belgium Benin BioNET-ASEANET BioNET-EASIANET BioNET-INTERNATIONAL BioNET-SAFRINET Bioversity International Botanic Gardens Conservation International Bulgaria Burkina Faso CABI Bioscience Cameroon Canada Chinese Taipei Ciencia y TecnologĂa para el Desarollo Colombia Consortium for the Barcode of Life Consortium of European Taxonomic Facilities (CETAF) Costa Rica Cuba DIVERSITAS Denmark Discover Life ETI Bioinformatics Encyclopedia of Life (EOL) Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) Equatorial Guinea Estonia Finding Species Finland France Freshwater Biological Association - FreshwaterLife Germany Ghana Guinea Iceland India Indonesia Integrated Taxonomic Information System Inter-American Biodiversity Information Network International Centre for Insect Physiology and Ecology International Commission on Zoological Nomenclature International Long Term Ecological Research (ILTER) International Species Information System Ireland Japan Kenya Korea, Republic of Luxembourg Madagascar Major Systematic Entomology Facilities Mexico Morocco Natural Science Collections Alliance NatureServe Netherlands New Zealand Nicaragua Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NORDGEN) Norway Ocean Biogeographic Information System Pacific Biodiversity Information Forum Pakistan Peru Philippines Poland Portugal Scientific Committee on Antarctic Research (SCAR) Slovakia Slovenia Society for the Preservation of Natural History Collections South Africa Spain Species 2000 Sweden Switzerland Tanzania Taxonomic Databases Working Group UK USA United Nations Environment Programme - World Conservation Monitoring Centre Uruguay Wildscreen World Data Center for Biodiversity and Ecology World Federation for Culture Collections
° Alternatively or complementarily you can classify your provider under one (or more, holding the Ctrl button of your keyboard) of the following thematic networks. The coordinator of the network(s) will be informed via email regarding your request. FishNet HerpNET MaNIS ORNIS
° Moreover, you can optionally define a URL, in the next text field, which points to a logo-icon representing your institution. This icon will be used by the GBIF data portal. The optimum dimensions are: 80 pixels width x 64 pixels height.
Note: Be sure that you have defined the technical and administrative contact-person names, emails, and phone numbers in the metadata of your provider. Entries without this information are removed from the registry.
