Overview & Data
The information provided here comes from the
annual Agricultural Resource
Management Survey (ARMS)USDA's primary source of information
on the financial condition, production practices,
resource use, and the economic well-being of
America's farm households. Sponsored jointly
by ERS and the National Agricultural Statistics
Service (NASS), ARMS is the only national survey
that provides observations of field-level farm
practices, the economics of the farm business,
and the characteristics of the American farm
household—all
collected in a representative sample. Information
about farm production, business, and households
includes data for 15 selected States, as well
as for the Nation as a whole. More
