Current Research: |
Silvicultural systems and reproduction cutting methods in shortleaf pine and pine-hardwood stands in the Interior Highlands; stand dynamics and development in shortleaf pine, pine-hardwood, and hardwood stands in the Interior Highlands; ecological patterns and processes in forested landscapes of the Interior Highlands; comparisons of even-aged and uneven-aged silviculture. Research conducted within context of two primary research teams: serves as Group Leader for silviculture research in stand-level Phase 2, and Team Leader for landscape-scale Phase 3 research, in the Ouachita Ecosystem Management Research Project. Also serves as co-champion of the SRS cross-cutting theme, "Sustainability and productivity of the Interior Highlands ecosystem." |
