It is the Risk Management Agency's (RMA) policy to ensure that every employee enjoys a non-hostile work environment free of discrimination or harassment of any kind. Discrimination of any kind based on race, color, religion, sex, age, disability, sexual orientation, marital or familial status, political beliefs, parental status, receipt of public assistance, or protected genetic information, is forbidden and is subject to appropriate disciplinary action. In addition, sexual harassment, which is illegal conduct and unacceptable behavior in the workplace, will not be condoned or tolerated.
As employees, we are responsible for reporting any behavior viewed as harassment
before it becomes severe or pervasive. As managers, we are responsible for maintaining a workplace free from harassment. Workplace harassment adversely affects the work environment by undermining productivity and professionalism, insults the dignity of workers, and may, depending on the extent and severity of misconduct, violate civil rights laws.
RMA will not tolerate reprisal or retaliation of any kind against employees or customers who seek to address their concerns through our administrative processes.
We have an obligation to treat each person with dignity, respect and equality. Our programs and services must be accessible and delivered to all our customers and potential customers.
I ask that you commit to and support this policy in RMA. Together we can address and correct any and all forms of illegal discrimination.
