USDA Rural Development Business and Community Programs Director Gary Smith (second from left) announced the recent recognition of the Chase County Commission for their valued partnership and continued support of USDA Rural Development programs. The Chase County Commission has provided outstanding promotion of the Agency’s Community Facilities Program and economic development in Chase County. Tom Finger, USDA Rural Development Area Specialist (far right) worked with the Commission in utilizing the Agency Programs.

Neighborhood Renaissance Foundation in Clay Center Awarded USDA Funding

Funding under USDA’s Rural Housing Site Loan Program will allow Neighborhood Renaissance Foundation. Inc. to finance the development of building sites, including the construction of access roads, streets, and utilities. This $2.5 million project will be developed in four phases.

Funding under USDA’s Rural Housing Site Loan Program will allow Neighborhood Renaissance Foundation. Inc. to finance the development of building sites, including the construction of access roads, streets, and utilities. This $2.5 million project will be developed in four phases. Development Phases I, III and IV will establish the infrastructure for single family housing and Phase II is a multi-family housing development. Sites developed under this USDA program may be sold to individual households, non-profit organizations, public agencies, and cooperatives that provide financial assistance for housing to low and moderate income homebuyers.

Junction City Families Move Into New USDA-Financed Homes

Seven families are the latest participants to celebrate constructing their own homes under the Agency's Mutual Self-Help Housing Program in Junction City with a ribbon cutting. In all, 53 new homes, representing $3.7 million in home ownership loans provided by the Agency, have been constructed by families in Junction City.
