William C. Ackermann Scholarship Program - 2000 Recipient

Matt is a senior at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, with a joint major in civil engineering and geography. After graduating in December, Matt will pursue his master's degree in water resources management. Illinois State Water Survey Chief Derek Winstanley and Nicholas Schneider, Executive Director of the Nature of Illinois Foundation, presented the scholarship at a ceremony held at the Water Survey on March 20, 2000. Also in attendance were Mark Peden, Director of External Relations at the Water Survey, and Mrs. Margaret Ackermann, wife of former Water Survey Chief William C. Ackermann.
