National Parks America Tour

Description:  Lake Mead National Recreation Area More than 300 people are expected to volunteer as Lake Mead National Recreation Area hosts the National Parks America Tour event on Saturday, March 28, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Volunteers will engage in important revitalization projects at while spending the day in their local national park. Volunteer activities will include litter patrol and campground beautification projects at the Boulder Beach Campground. Volunteers will meet at the Boulder Beach Picnic Area and receive a free t-shirt and lunch compliments of program sponsor, Unilever. National Park America Tour - Lake Mead Nat'l Rec Area

Description:  Volunteers will assist with a campground beuatification project in the Boulder Beach Campground. Volunteers will be raking vegetation, trimming oleander and other campground plants, backing debris, and beautifying the campground.

Lake Mead is looking for 200 + volunteers to assist with this beaufication project, Participants will receive free entrance into the park and are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and sunscreen, and to bring a hat and work gloves. Bottled water and a light breakfast will be provided. The event will end at noon with a picnic lunch for all participants
