Reports on current USNA activities to the
Stakeholders of the U. S. National Arboretum
The U. S. National Arboretum interacts directly with and serves many stakeholder organizations.
These are typically national organizations, professional societies, and botanical and
horticulturally-oriented lay organizations. Different components of the arboretum relate
directly to one or more of these organizations. For example, the Gotelli Dwarf and Slow
Growing Conifer Collection is of considerable interest to the American Conifer Society while
the National Bonsai and Penjing Museum relates directly to the bonsai communities throughout
the United States. The American Nursery and Landscape Association and the Society of American Florists
are the primary stakeholders of the Arboretum's Floral and Nursery Plants Research Unit. In an effort to better communicate recent research results, discoveries, plant releases, information about special events, news and other activities, we began to distribute USNA News and Notes in an electronic format to our stakeholders. We are now making our electronic newsletter available via our web site to a broader audience due to the numerous requests for access to our USNA News and Notes. We encourage our stakeholders to take information and articles distributed in our new publications and use them in their newsletters and publications they provide to their members. Other groups and organizations are encouraged to do the same. Click on the appropriate link below for a
