Description: This paper attempts to summarize what is known of the distribution and status of sandalwoods in Hawai'i. Four species of sandalwood are recognized as being endemic to the Hawaiian Islands, and one has been introduced. Ecological factors affecting the present and former distribution of Hawaiian sandalwoods are considered.
