Background In fiscal year 2006, DOE awarded approximately $1.2 billion
in prime contracts to small businesses. An additional $3.5 billion in subcontracts were awarded to small business enterprises via DOE's major prime (M&O) contractors.
|
What is it? The Business Opportunity Session (BOS) is a technique that
connects federal acquisition officials to interested small businesses. The BOS and other OSDBU programs stimulates small business participation in DOE contract opportunities.
|
Who Benefits? Everyone benefits! Small businesses learn "How to
Work with DOE" and program representatives meet new small businesses capable of fulfilling DOE requirements.
|
How's It Work? Each month a BOS Session is held at DOE headquarters. An
overview is given on "How to Work with DOE." Targeted program offices present their current and potential contracting requirements. Questions and answers are exchanged.
