Alaska Native Medical Center wins highest honor in nursing excellence - Again!

For the second time, ANMC has been awarded the prestigious Magnet designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center. Recognizing quality patient care and nursing excellence, the Magnet Recognition Program© is a seal of approval for outstanding nursing care.

ANMC first earned this distinction in 2003, and remains the first and only Alaska hospital, and first and only tribal hospital in the nation, to receive Magnet Status. Only 5 percent of all U.S. hospitals achieve Magnet Status, and even fewer are designated a second time. Click here for more information.
