The FCC is located between the L'Enfant Plaza stop (blue/orange and yellow/green lines) and the Smithsonian stop (blue/orange lines) on the Metro.

From the Smithsonian stop (Blue/Orange Lines):

1. Use the Exit from the station labeled: 12th St. & Independence Ave.
2. If you take the escalator to street level you will be on the south side of Independence Ave. If you take the elevator you will be on the north side of Independence Ave. Walk to the corner of Independence & 12th Sts. (about 1/4 block) and turn right (south).
3. Follow 12th St. for about 3 blocks. You will cross C St., D St., the road to the Portals Plaza, and the driveway to the Portals parking garages
4. FCC will be on the right in the middle of the next block.
5. If you find yourself walking under an overpass leading to Maine Ave. and the Potomac River, you have gone too far.

From the L'Enfant Plaza stop (Blue/Orange and Yellow/Green Lines):

1. Use the Exit from the station labeled: L'Enfant Plaza / 9th & D Sts.
2. The escalator will take you into L'Enfant Plaza Mall. At the top of the escalator, turn right and go outside using the doors on your right. Walk across the patio and down the stairs to D St.
3. Turn left and follow D St. for approximately 3 blocks. You will be walking under what appears to be a large overpass - this is the underside of L'Enfant Promenade.
4. Cross 12th St. and turn left. The FCC will be on the right in the middle of the block.
5. If you find yourself walking under an overpass leading to Maine Ave. and the Potomac River, you have gone too far.

BY CAR

FROM VIRGINIA:

From the South (Springfield/Fredericksburg/Richmond)

1. Take I-95 North. It will become I-395 North to Washington, DC. (Do not exit onto the Beltway, I-95 or I-495).
2. Cross the 14th Street Bridge (US Route 1)
3. Turn right onto Independence Avenue.
4. At the first light, turn right on 12th St.
5. Go through 3 traffic lights. The FCC will be on the right in the middle of the block following the 3rd light.

For the Parking Garage

1. On 12th St., turn right at the 3rd light.
2. Take the first left and bear to the right to enter the public parking garage (self-park). Cost is $8 per hour, $15 per day. Garage hours are 7am-8pm.

From the West (Falls Church/Fairfax/Leesburg)

1. Take Route US Route 50 or I-66 East to Washington, DC.
2. Cross over the Theodore Roosevelt Bridge to Constitution Avenue.
3. Turn right on 14th St., SW
4. Turn left onto Independence Avenue.
5. At the first light, turn right on 12th St.
6. Go through 3 traffic lights. The FCC will be on the right in the middle of the block following the 3rd light.

For the Parking Garage

1. On 12th St., turn right at the 3rd light.
2. Take the first left and bear to the right to enter the public parking garage (self-park). Cost is $8 per hour, $15 per day. Garage hours are 7am-8pm.

FROM MARYLAND

From the North (Silver Spring/Chevy Chase)

1. Take Beach Drive/Rock Creek Parkway South to Washington, DC.
2. At the Lincoln Memorial, follow the signs for Independence Avenue.
3. Stay on Independence Ave., SW. Cross over the Kutz Bridge and 14th St.
4. Turn right on 12th St., SW.
5. Go through 3 traffic lights. The FCC will be on the right in the middle of the block following the 3rd light.

For the Parking Garage

1. On 12th St., turn right at the 3rd light.
2. Take the first left and bear to the right to enter the public parking garage (self-park). Cost is $8 per hour, $15 per day. The garage hours are 7am-8pm.

From the Northeast (Greenbelt/Laurel)

1. Take the Beltway (Route 495/95) to the Baltimore-Washington Parkway.
2. Take the New York Ave./Washington, DC exit.
3. Turn left onto 7th St., NW
4. Turn right on D St., SW.
5. Turn left on 12th St., SW. The FCC will be on the right in the middle of the block.

For the Parking Garage

1. Do NOT turn onto 12th St.
2. Stay on D St. and cross over 12th St. (becomes Maryland Ave. on the West side of 12th St.)
3. Take the first left and bear to the right to enter the public parking garage (self-park). Cost is $8 per hour, $15 per day. The garage hours are 7am-8pm.

From the Southeast (Upper Marlboro)

1. Take State Route 4 West.
2. Enter Suitland Parkway East.
3. Take I-295 North.
4. Take I-395 South.
5. Take the 6th St. North exit.
6. Turn left on D St., SW.
7. Turn left on 12th St., SW.
8. The FCC will be on the right in the middle of the block.

For the Parking Garage

1. Do NOT turn onto 12th St.
2. Stay on D St. and cross over 12th St. (becomes Maryland Ave. on the West side of 12th St.)
3. Take the first left and bear to the right to enter the public parking garage (self-park). Cost is $8 per hour, $15 per day. The garage hours are 7am-8pm.
