Cover the Uninsured, a project of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, is a national effort to highlight the fact that too many Americans are living without health insurance and to demand solutions from our nation’s leaders. From the overview section: “Recent Census Bureau data demonstrate that the problem of the uninsured continued in 2006. According to figures released in August 2007, 47 million people — 15.8 percent of the total U.S. population — were uninsured in 2006, up slightly from 15.3 percent in the previous year.”
