Mission Projects

State Health Department Evaluation Project

In the summer of 2005, the State Chronic Disease Directors Cardiovascular Health (CVH) Council and 22 states signed on to the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI)\National High Blood Pressure Education Program's "Mission Possible: Prevent and Control High Blood Pressure" Campaign to promote improved high blood pressure prevention and control among high-risk audiences. The Centers for Disease Prevention and Control (CDC) and the American Heart Association (AHA) are supporting partners in this effort. Phase 1 of the project was completed in the winter of 2006.
