    Fur binding site models

Fur is a global regulator of bacterial iron uptake systems. We build refined E. coli Fur binding site models using information theory, and use the models to predict Fur binding. As Fur binds as dimer and many Fur binding sites overlap, to disentangle Fur models, future work would be to further refine the models by only using single dimer binding sites. For more details please see Nucleic Acids Res, 2007, 35(20):6762-77.
