Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) v4.0 To Be Released May 2009

The Common Terminology Criteria for Adverse Events (CTCAE) v3.0 is currently being revised and v4.0 is set to be released in May of 2009. In version 4.0, all adverse event terms will be single concept MedDRA terms. These changes have been made in order to increase the accuracy of adverse event reporting and the usability of the terminology set. There will also be a VCDE team performing a review of the terminology set in order to ensure its caBIG® compatibility. The terminology set will also be made available in an electronic format. For more information regarding CTCAE v4.0 please visit https://cabig.nci.nih.gov/workspaces/VCDE/workspaces/VCDE/CTCAE. If you have any questions regarding the release of CTCAE v4.0, contact Ranjana Srivastava (srivastava_ranjana@bah.com).
