problem at your house or farm this winter, consider planting trees and shrubs
this spring. Here’s Dick Tremain with USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation

(Transcript) "It’s called a windbreak. Properly designed windbreaks can
help protect your home, barn and livestock from winter winds and
weather. Designed as living snow fences, windbreaks can also prevent drifting
snow from closing roads and driveways. Local NRCS staff can design windbreaks
to meet landowner’s needs. The design work is free and financial assistance for
planting trees and shrubs may be available. Contact your local NRCS office for
more information."
