The Interagency Institute for Federal Healthcare Executives is an annual occurrence in St.
Louis, Missouri, and I took part in this on several occasions during my double tenure as
Surgeon General. This lecture is exactly what it purports to be - an update of the Public
Health Service for others who might not know as much as they should or would like to
about the function of the Public Health Service, in spite of the fact that they are engaged
in Federal Healthcare.
