The First Meeting of the Latin American Chapter of the International Patient Organisation for Primary Immunodeficiencies (IPOPI) will take place on October 16-17 2009 and the First Meeting of the Latin American Society for Primary Immunodeficiencies (LASID) on October 15-17 2009 at Cartagena de Indias, Columbia.

IPOPI Global Immunoglobulin List
This list is dedicated to the global PID community! It provides information about the supply of Immunoglobulin in some 100 countries, so that every patient or relative know about the situation in the different areas and countries of the world.

Great news!
- Intravenous immunoglobulin has been reinstated on the “Model List of Essential Medicines”. See the link: http://mednet3.who.int/EMLib/
- Subcutaneous Immunoglobulin has, as of October 2007, been added to the WHO Model List of Essential Medicines for Children, alongside Intravenous and Intramuscular Immunoglobulin. See the link: http://www.who.int/medicines/publications/essentialmedicines/en/index.html
- IPOPI has become a member of the Global Collaboration for Blood Safety (GCBS) as of December 2007
