The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), with other possible participating NIH Institutes and Centers (IC's), intends to publish a Request for Applications (RFA) soliciting applications for P30 Resource Core Transdisciplinary Prevention Research Center (TPRC) grants. The P30 TPRC grants are intended to foster research environments in which scientists from the basic biological and applied/clinical disciplines can come together to develop a coherent program of transdisciplinary research. The ultimate goal of these center cores is to overcome the barriers inherent in integrating cross-disciplinary concepts, methods, and findings that hold promise for the development of innovative prevention intervention questions and approaches. The RFA is expected to be published in November, 2007 with an expected receipt date in March/April, 2008.
