Gen X is the most likely to shop, bank and look for health info online. And larger percentages of older generations are doing many more activities online, according to the Pew Research Center's Internet & American Life Project surveys.

Subsidyscope Overview

Subsidyscope is a new initiative of The Pew Charitable Trusts that aims to make government subsidies more transparent to the public and policymakers through the development of a comprehensive online database of all federal subsidies.  By aggregating information across sectors of the economy, Subsidyscope hopes to inform the debate over the creation of new subsidies and the efficacy of existing ones in a non-partisan manner. More

For Nearly Half of America, Grass Is Greener Somewhere Else

A new survey by the Pew Research Center's Social & Demographic Trends project finds that nearly half of the public would rather live in a different type of community from the one they're living in now. However, more than eight-in-ten rate their current communities as good to excellent. When asked about specific metropolitan areas where they would like to live, respondents rank Denver, San Diego and Seattle at the top of a list of 30 large cities.
