(A-fluh-TOK-sin)
A harmful substance made by certain types of mold (
Aspergillus flavus
and
Aspergillus parasiticus
) that is often found on poorly stored grains and nuts. Consumption of foods contaminated with aflatoxin is a risk factor for primary liver cancer.
