Abstract

Founded in 1974, Make Today Count (MTC) provides self-help support groups in nearly 200 communities throughout the U.S. for patients with cancer and other life-threatening illness, their families, and the professionals who work with them. MTC is a nonprofit organization supported by individual contributions, newsletter subscriptions and gifts. Monthly meetings are provided by each chapter, where members are encouraged to share their experiences in living with life-threatening illness.

Publications

MTC publishes its founder's books. Serial publication: Make Today Count (newsletter), bimonthly--organizational news, accounts of personal experiences with cancer or other life-threatening illness, and suggested readings on related topics.
