Health Effects

Inhalation: Exposure to this material by inhalation is not expected to occur due to the physical form of the product (lotion). Inhalation of small doses of aerosolized material would not be expected to result in symptoms.
Eye Contact: This product contains mineral oil, propylene glycol, and laureth-4 which may be of concern during manufacture. Signs associated with eye irritation may include redness, tearing, swelling, pain.
Skin Contact: Toxic-- These materials do not show phototoxicity based on toxicology testing and under normal use conditions should not show toxicity. Irritation--Mineral oil, propylene glycol, and laureth-4 may be irritating to the skin of some employees during manufacturing. Signs of irritation may include redness, burning, itching or swelling. Toxicology testing indicates that Keri Lotion is not irritating to the skin. Sensitization--Toxicology testing shows that the product is not a sensitizer.
Ingestion: Inadvertent ingestion of trace amounts of this product would not be expected to result in harmful effects. The product is of low toxicity. If a large amount of lotion is ingested, it may have laxative effects. If vomiting should occur after ingestion of a large amount of the product there is potential for aspiration into the lungs and development of pneumonia.
Medical Conditions Generally Aggravated by Exposure: None known.

There are no known chronic effects associated with the use of this product. Keri Lotion is negative for mutagenicity in the Ames test. The product has not been tested for carcinogenicity, teratogenicity, or reproductive effects.
