FAQ: Finding a List of Current MEDLINE Journals by Country or Language in LocatorPlus


Question: How do I find a list of current MEDLINE® journals by Country of Publication or Language in LocatorPlus?
Answer:

LocatorPlus, our library catalog, lets you limit your search by Place of Publication and Language.

To set the limits and then enter a search for currently indexed MEDLINE journals:


  1. Click on the "Search LocatorPlus®" button.
  2. Click on the "Set Limits Before Searching" button (bottom right of the screen).
  3. Select your Place of Publication or Language limits. If you want more than one limit from the same category, hold down the CTRL key while clicking on the limits.
  4. Click on the "Set Limits" button at the bottom of the screen.
  5. Click on the "Advanced Menu Search" tab.
  6. In the "Search" box, type medline.
  7. In the drop-down box to the right, select "any of these."
  8. Select "Abstract/Index Tags" as the type of search from the "As" drop-down box.
  9. Make sure to select the "AND" radio button.
  10. In the next "Search" box, type 1 5 (1 space 5).
  11. In the drop-down box to the right, select "any of these."
  12. Select "Indexing Status" as the type of search from the "As" drop-down box.
  13. Click on the gray "Search" button (bottom of the page).
