2009 Hill Day Information Now Available - ASTHO Hill Day 2009 will take place Wednesday, March 11 through Thursday, March 12 in Washington, DC. We need your help to educate policy makers about a variety of public health issues. A strong showing of ASTHO members will send a clear message to Congress that we are key players in public health policy deliberations and serious about advocacy. Your help is especially needed this year in light of the economic situation, new Administration and Congress. State Budget Cuts Jeopardize America’s Health Dec 22, 2008 - Shrinking state health department budgets, brought on by the current economic downturn, are forcing cuts in critical public health programs and reductions in workforce that will have wide ranging effects.
