Time-lapse video clips of microscopic images from a lymph node of a live mouse, taken 20 hours after vaccination

Time-lapse video clips of microscopic images from a lymph node of a live mouse, taken 20 hours after vaccination, show what happens to CD8+ T cells when they cannot detect chemical signals. In the left panel, normal CD8+ T cells (in red) detect signals released by blue dendritic cells (blue), resulting in the CD8+ T cells moving towards these dendritic cells. Mutant CD8+ T cells (green) in the right panel lack receptors for the signals from the dendritic cells (blue), and they move less often towards the dendritic cells. Both images depict the same part of the lymph node and the same dendritic cells (blue).
