Images from the History of Medicine (IHM) is the National Library of Medicine (NLM) database of more than 60,000 historical images. They document social and historical aspects of medicine from the Middle Ages to the present.

Pictures in the database come from NLM's collection of caricatures, photographs, fine prints, ephemera and portraits and from illustrations drawn from books and journals held by NLM. The URL is http://wwwihm.nlm.nih.gov/. You can also search IHM through LocatorPlus, the NLM online catalog (http://locatorplus.gov).
