Request for Information: Soliciting Input on Current Needs in Pharmacogenomics Research

NIGMS collected information in April 2008 on behalf of the Trans-NIH Pharmacogenomics Working Group on challenges and barriers to pharmacogenomics research. The purpose was to highlight opportunities, reveal gaps, and aid in identifying specific, achievable goals that will advance the field. Our goal was to consider a full spectrum of research approaches, from discovery-based efforts to validation and applied studies, in order to accelerate the translation of pharmacogenomics knowledge into the clinical practice setting.  The deadline was April 30, 2008.
