Biostatistics BranchThe following investigators are involved in Human Studies projects, an example of which is given below: David Dunson, Grace Kissling(http://www.niehs.nih.gov/research/atniehs/labs/bb/staff/kissling/index.cfm), Shyamal Peddada(http://www.niehs.nih.gov/research/atniehs/labs/bb/staff/peddada/index.cfm), David Umbach(http://www.niehs.nih.gov/research/atniehs/labs/bb/staff/umbach/index.cfm), Clarice Weinberg(http://www.niehs.nih.gov/research/atniehs/labs/bb/staff/weinberg/index.cfm), Dmitri Zaykin(http://www.niehs.nih.gov/research/atniehs/labs/bb/staff/zaykin/index.cfm). Occult-onset disease: Motivated by the NIEHS Uterine Fibroid (Leiomyoma) Study, the Branch developed a Bayesian approach that incorporates current disease severity information in estimating incidence rates and rates of disease progression, based on screening for an often-occult disease. |
