The National Institute on Aging (NIA) announces that effective July 2, 2006 new R01 applications will no longer be accepted by NIA in response to Program Announcement PA-03-167, Aging Musculoskeletal and Skin Extracellular Matrix.

• For the receipt date of February 1, 2006 new applications for both R21 and R01 mechanisms will be acceptable. Revised applications will be accepted for the receipt date of March 1, 2006 for both R21 and R01 mechanisms.
  
  
• The final receipt date for new R01applications under this PA is June 1, 2006 and for revised R01 applications is July 2, 2006 . (Note: See http://grants.gov to submit new R21 applications for the June 1, 2006 receipt date.) 
  
  
• New applications for R21 mechanisms will not be accepted after February 1, 2006 (nor will revised applications be accepted after March 2, 2006) under this PA .
