Thanks for your kind note of May 2nd.  I just arrived hack from
the World Health Assembly in Geneva and ha4 a chance to read
it*  It wazl sost thoughtful of you to have the Pediatric Surgery
Festachrift in my honor bound for the libraries.

x guess X appreciate this gesture crpeoially now because `I have
taken so much heat on the Infant Doe Regulations.  It would 8eem
that the medical profession here and there (and the whole house
staff of the Children'8 Hospftal) Beems to think that I
personally wrote those regulations. As a matter of fact, 3: aa
the one who has been trying to get the Department to sit dawn and
talk with pediatricians before anything was promulgated. This I
finally accomplished on trhe Bay It left for Geneva in late April.

I look forward to saeinq you on the night yau say quad-bye to
Jfm Betts.  Bettv joins me in sendnq our 1ove to you both.
