Advances and Emerging Opportunities in Type 1 Diabetes Research: A Strategic Plan (August 2006)

The purpose of the Type 1 Diabetes Research Strategic Plan is to serve as a scientific guidepost to the NIH and to the investigative and lay communities by identifying compelling research opportunities that will inform the priority-setting process for the type 1 diabetes research field and propel research progress on the understanding, prevention, treatment, and cure of type 1 diabetes and its complications.

Type 1 diabetes patients and family members can visit the NIDDK website for health information or to find out how to enroll in a clinical research study.

Researchers studying type 1 diabetes and its complications can find information on research funding opportunities and research resources
