Proteomics and Mass Spectrometry Facility - (PMSF)

Sonja Hess

The mission of the PMSF is to provide investigators with state-of-the-art scientific and technical support in proteomics and mass spectrometry.

The main objectives in achieving this mission are:

To provide access to state-of-the-art equipment for multiple users interested in proteomics or mass spectrometry of small molecules or biomolecules.

To provide guidance and hands-on training for those researchers who want to use equipment in the facility.

To promote research collaboration to further our understanding of fundamental biological mechanisms.

The current main focus of our research is the development of alternatives to 2D gel electrophoresis and the characterization of membrane proteins.
