Eligibility
Requirements
Priority will be given to individuals who fit one of the following
categories:
- Recent COMPLETION OF A DOCTORATE (within past
2 years) and seeking to pursue further research using behavioral
and social intervention research.
- Two or more years since completion of a doctorate and substantial
work (e.g., pilot study) toward preparation of a grant proposal
using behavioral and social intervention research.
- Experienced intervention researchers seeking to expand their
expertise.
Beyond these eligibility criteria we are seeking
researchers who plan to develop NIH R03 or R21 grant applications
involving behavioral and social intervention research in response
to PA-06-082
or PA-06-083:
Research on Social Work Practice and Concepts in Health. Those who have extensive research experience will be considered after more junior investigators have been evaluated. While we will consider and may even accept “exceptional” applicants who do not meet these criteria, priority will go to those who do.
Due to the limited number of spaces in the course, applicants must
be U.S. citizens or non-citizen nationals who must have been lawfully
admitted to the United States for permanent residence (i.e., possess
a currently valid Alien Registration Receipt Card I-551, or other
legal verification of such status). Women, minorities, and individuals
