Comments |
"1,2-Diphenylhydrazine oxidizes rapidly in the environment under aerobic conditions, with a half-life in water as short as 15 minutes. . . . it is possible that 1,2-diphenylhydrazine may cause methemoglobin in humans. However this would occur only if sufficient aniline were formed rapidly enough to exceed the capacity of methemoglobin reductase to reduce methemoglobin." Hepatic effects have been observed in high-dose animal experiments. [ATSDR ToxProfiles] |
