WASHINGTON, DC – Congressman Dennis Cardoza said today he will meet with the 18th District Congressional Veterans Advisory Committee to provide an update on veterans legislation and communicate with its members. The committee was formed shortly after Congressman Cardoza was elected to the House of Representatives and is made up of veterans organizations from Merced to Stockton. The groups seek to keep the Congressman informed of local veterans issues, while at the same time allowing the Congressman an opportunity to inform veterans of important issues affecting them in the House of Representatives. “The men and women who’ve worn our nation’s uniform are owed a debt of gratitude that we must continually strive to repay,” said Congressman Cardoza. “This committee ensures that the concerns of our Valley veterans are heard in Washington, D.C.” The Committee will meet at 2 p.m. on Tuesday Sept. 2 at Mancini Hall, 718 Tuolumne Blvd., Modest. What: 18th District Congressional Advisory Committee. |
