An
uncommon setting for the uncommon couple
With its tranquil waterfront setting on Navy Pointoverlooking
the beautiful Miles River and beyondthe Chesapeake Bay Maritime
Museum is a setting unlike any other.
A nationally recognized institution dedicated to preserving the
heritage of the Chesapeake, the Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum brings
the warm and casually elegant hospitality of the Eastern Shore of
Maryland to each special occasion. Set on a private eighteen-acre
campus with over 2,000 feet of waterfront in the village of St.
Michaels, the Museum offers spectacular sunset views of the Bay,
unique venues, and first-class event co-ordination to complement
every occasion.
For
a perfect summer's eve party, the newly renovated Steamboat Building
provides indoor and outdoor facilities, including a deck overlooking
Foggs Landing. It is ideal for weddings and receptions for up to
100 guests. This venue includes a private entrance and close proximity
to parking for your guests.
For an outdoor event, the upper and lower outdoor decks of the
new At Play on the Bay exhibit building at the end of Navy Point
offers the best panoramic views of the Miles River. These elegant
outdoor waterfront venues are perfect for cocktail receptions with
a guest list of 150. The number of guests can be considerably expanded
to 400 by erecting a tent adjacent to the exhibit building for dining
and dancing. Several of the Museum's historic sailing vessels, skipjacks
and bugeyes, are moored nearby and add to the romantic ambiance
of this setting.
The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum is ready to host your wedding
rehearsal dinner, wedding ceremony and/or reception with only the
finest of Chesapeake Bay traditions and in a spectacular setting
overlooking one of America's most beautiful estuaries.
