Science & the City is the exciting "public gateway" to the New York Academy of Sciences. Its mission is to provide a free public service that fosters interaction among New York's science and arts communities and engage the public in all that is happening at the intersection of science and culture in and around our city and at NYAS.
Science & the City is comprised of several elements that appeal to consumers and "science-enthusiasts" alike. All products are available for sponsorship:
S&C Events - A series of events, many SRO, featuring best selling authors such as Oliver Sacks (Musicophilia) and Harvard professor Stephen Pinker (The Stuff of Thought). The Science of Food event series examines the science of favorite foods such as chocolate, champagne, coffee and scotch and feature internationally-recognized experts in each discipline.
S&C Weekly - An e-newsletter distributed every Tuesday morning to an opt-in subscriber list of 3,000 New York Metropolitan area readers.
S&C Online - An active website listing hundreds of NY area science-related events. S&C pages are the best read of the NYAS Web site.
S&C Podcasts - Podcasts of events, meetings and conferences, available for download on www.nyas.org/podcast and on iTunes. The average NYAS podcast is downloaded more than 7,000 times per month.

The NYAS Web site is the crossroads of the Academy, accessible to more than 26,000 members in more than 140 countries, as well as thousands of young and seasoned scientists around the globe who visit it daily.
The Web site is fundamental to the Academy's mission of convening the world's leading scientists to facilitate the exchange of ideas, advocating scientific literacy, and resolving global societal challenges. It has experienced consistent annual growth in unique visitors (330,000 per month), visit duration (19.82 minutes per), and page views (more than one million per month), indicating the site's growing popularity among scientists in academia, industry, and government, as well as the general public.

e-Newsletter advertising
The NYAS eNews is a monthly alert deployed to approximately 25,000 opt-in subscribers consisting predominantly of Academy members. Via this information piece, members and friends keep current with the latest Academy happenings, new programs, and upcoming events. In addition, they receive a monthly message from the President and learn about featured members in the news.
The NYAS Weekly is a weekly electronic issue alert deployed to approximately 6500 opt-in members and non-members of the New York Academy of Sciences. This weekly alert enables subscribers to keep current with upcoming NYAS events and learn more about critical topical areas that are addressed within those events. Subscribers receive this e-Alert free of charge. Advertising opportunities include primary banner or one of three right-column badge positions. Above industry average monthly statistics.

eBriefings - www.nyas.org/ebriefing
NYAS eBriefings are a forum for dissemination of proceedings of cutting-edge meetings sponsored by NYAS and by other institutions. They feature compelling meeting reports prepared by expert science writers, with synchronized audio/slide sets and/or video from presenters, links to related resources, and other features that capture a meeting's key highlights.
eBriefings are widely read, and last year alone they tallied some 400,000 visits by an aggregated total of more than 200,000 unique web visitors.
Typically, access to NYAS eBriefings is reserved to Academy members via password protection. However, through special arrangements, employees, academicians, researchers and others can receive access to the eBriefing via a special link that can be placed on the company web site.

The New York Academy of Sciences Magazine - www.nyas.org/update
The official magazine for Members of the New York Academy of Sciences, featuring articles about Academy events, publications, members, and related scientific issues Magazine. Published three times a year, distributed free of charge to the entire Academy membership of 26,000 scientists worldwide, and also available online.

Annals - www.nyas.org/annals
Annals is one of the oldest scientific journals in the United States, offering monographs, annual reviews, and the proceedings of conferences sponsored by the NYAS as well as those of other scientific organizations. New ideas are frequently unveiled at conferences, and the proceedings literature, even when speculative, can provide both a window on the research activity of the moment and important insights into the future direction of research. The Institute for Scientific Information ranks Annals in the top 2% of sources cited in scientific literature. Several opportunities are available to sponsors of Annals, including printed branding (customized volumes, etc.) and also online eAlerts, customized newsletters, etc.
