RSS feeds
RSS stands for "Really Simple Syndication." It's a type of file, like HTML or PDF, that contains syndicated content, such as news.
An RSS feed is a file that has been formatted in a very specific way so that it can be read by software called news readers or RSS readers. Links to some popular readers are listed below. (Many newer Web browsers also include built-in ability to subscribe to and read RSS feeds.)
RSS readers collect the content of RSS feeds to which you subscribe and display them in a central collection for you to read. With an RSS reader, you can have up-to-date news from many Web sites delivered to you rather than visiting each site to check for recently posted news.
