About MLA

MLA Leaders

Current MLA initiatives are addressing many issues that I believe are essential to the success of the association and its members, such as proving the value of library services, improving the CE program, and using technology to improve the association’s communication mechanisms. Another issue that is key to MLA’s continued success is current and potential changes in scholarly publishing, including the provision of free access to many articles on scientific research results. Scholarly publishing changes will profoundly affect all hospital and academic health sciences librarians, as well as our users.
