NCI Liaison Office Brussels, Belgium

Created in 1972, the National Cancer Institute (NCI) Liaison Office in Brussels, Belgium promotes the interchange of information, ideas, and scientific expertise between the NCI, its European partners, and collaborating institutions. Originally created to promote the acquisition of new potential anti-cancer agents from Europe for NCI’s screening programs, the Liaison Office has expanded to act as a link between the NCI, universities, research institutes, pharmaceutical & chemical industries, and several European cancer research facilities. The Office has supported a growth of various activities from symposia to launching a joint clinical monitoring program.
