• 2005 April 4: The early days of experimental quantum cryptography by J. A. Smolin (IBM Journal of Research and Development, Volume 48, No. 1, 2004) quotes a complaint by Rolf Landauer about this paper but does not explain exactly what the problem is. Although we had a pleasant discussion one time in a car ride to the airport after a meeting, Rolf Landauer never pointed out his problems with this paper to me. It was inappropriate for him to contact the editor without contacting me directly. Unfortunately we may never know what the problem was, as Dr. Landauer died in 1999.
